Charleston County Sheriff’s Office Loses Officer In Fatal Crash

Our thoughts & prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues of Charleston County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jeremy Ladue. Deputy Ladue and the driver of a second vehicle were killed in an early morning crash today. Below is the official press release from Captain Roger Antonio of the Charleston Sheriff’s Office:

Around 1:40 this morning, a Charleston County sheriff’s deputy was involved in a traffic collision with another motorist. The deputy, while on patrol, was driving in the 2400 block of Savannah Highway when a vehicle collided into his patrol vehicle. Unfortunately, both the deputy and the driver of the other vehicle did not survive their injuries. The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene to investigate the collision.

Deputy Jeremy Ladue was the deputy involved in the fatal collision. The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office mourns the loss of Deputy Ladue. He has served with the agency since February 2019. He patrolled the West Ashley district, where coworkers admired him for his dependability and enthusiasm. Our condolences go out to his family members and friends.
