Deputy Sheriff Richard (Rick) C. Treadwell, 61yoa and 25 years of service died at 4:30pm on 08/22/2020 from COVID-19 contracted on-duty in his capacity as a training team deputy. Deputy Treadwell is the first Wisconsin law enforcement officer to die in the line of duty from CoVid19.

Deputy Treadwell was a highly valued member of the Dane County Sheriff’s Office family and of their raining team. Deputy Treadwell leaves a wife and college age children behind.
