Procession Held For Fallen HCSO Deputy Robert Howard

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of Deputy Robert Adam Howard.

A procession was held early this morning for Harris County Deputy Robert Adam Howard.

Deputy Howard was escorted from Montgomery County Forensic Services in Conroe at 205 Hilbig Rd. to Claire Brothers in Houston, located at 5575 Pine St. Deputy Howard died on Wednesday after crashing into the back of a parked 18-wheeler on the shoulder of Highway 249 near Spring Cypress.

The 27-year-old deputy was came to the sheriff’s office in 2019 from the Harris County Pct. 5 Constables Office. He was assigned to patrol until he was moved to the Violent Gang Suppression Unit three months ago.

Howard was a father of his 2-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son, husband to his beloved wife, a dear friend, and a hero.

His loved ones said his care and service touched so many hearts.

Condolences from other agencies as well as Houston and Texas leaders are pouring in:

Funeral services for Deputy Howard are set for Wednesday, May 18th. Family visitation is from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM. The service is set to begin at 11:00 AM at Community of Faith Church. Burial details remain pending.
