Please join us in keeping Deputy Juan M. Ruiz’s family and colleagues in your thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, Deputy Ruiz succumbed to his injuries sustained on Saturday, at the hands of a man he had just arrested, and died Monday.

He began his career with the Sheriff’s Office on January 25, 2010. He will be deeply missed by all his colleagues and friends. He is survived by his two daughters.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and the MCSO Memorial Fund will be hosting a free car wash event on Thursday, October 14 at 7:00 AM benefiting the family of Deputy Juan (Johnny) Ruiz.
