Below is a letter sent to the Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies and Senate Committee on Appropriations (dated December 7, 2022) from the Major County Sheriffs of America and 69 other undersigned organizations, asking to urge Congress to finalize FY23 appropriations as soon as possible—to ensure funding for programs that help reduce the severity and impact of urgent mental health and drug crises.
