Major County Sheriffs of America 2019 Winter Conference

The Major County Sheriffs of America were joined by the Major City Chiefs Association for the 2019 Winter Conference from February 12th-14th at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC.  The featured conference speaker was the President of the United State Donald J. Trump.  

Also, presenting at the conference were U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen M. Nielsen, FBI Director Christopher Wray, Acting Attorney General Mathew Whitaker and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI).  A panel of U.S. Attorney had a roundtable with MCSA and MCCA leadership on violent crime and increasing working relationships between the offices nationwide.

Congressmen Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) and John Rutherford (R-FL) were awarded the MCSA Legislators of the Year Awards.  The 2019 Conference started with a joint sheriffs and chiefs color guard and introductory speeches from the leadership of both associations followed by the invited guests.  A total of 557 law enforcement professionals and corporate partners attended the 2019 Winter Conference.
